INTRODUCTION TO THE COMPOSITE FLOORING SYSTEM
Mid to high-rise residential buildings have traditionally relied on cast-in-place reinforced concrete systems, which provide advantages such as reduced floor-to-floor heights and fire resistance. Similarly, low to mid-rise buildings often employ bearing wall systems that support precast slabs. These methods, however, are often time-consuming, weather-dependent, and require significant labor.
SGBS Intl. was developed to create a more efficient structural steel framing system for mid and high-rise residential construction.

The Composite Flooring Systems significantly enhances construction efficiency and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Unlike cast-in-place concrete structures, the Composite Flooring System utilizes prefabricated components manufactured off-site, which can be swiftly assembled on-site by a single trade, even in cold weather (Ironworkers).
AVAILABILITY
THE COMPONENTS OF THE SYSTEM, INCLUDING STRUCTURAL STEEL (SUCH AS THE ENVIROBEAM®) AND PRECAST HOLLOW CORE SLABS, CAN BE PRODUCED AND SUPPLIED BY NUMEROUS SUBCONTRACTORS, ENSURING THE OWNER CAN SECURE COMPETITIVE PRICING FOR THE BUILDING'S SUPERSTRUCTURE.
